Mocha is our herd queen! She is bold and strong with a beautiful face and large easy to milk teats. She easily kidded triplets in 2022 and 2023. She is one of our foundation does and comes from Better Ways Farm where she is the granddaughter of one of the most celebrated does in the herd – SwissMiss Carabear. Mocha has earned her milk star in all 3 categories (Total Volume, Butterfat, and Protein). She is consistently one of our top producing does. We have retained one of her daughters – Rockville Ridge Coffee Queen who freshened in 2023.

Bella is the most curious goat in the herd. She loves attention, loves causing trouble, and isn’t shy with visitors. She is chocolate and has my favorite udder in the herd – no surprise as she is from the same line as the Better Wayz Carabear line mixed with the Sugar Moon production genetics. She has beautiful dairy skin. Bella has earned her star in all 3 categories (Total Volume, Butterfat, and Protein). She kidded triplets without any assistance in 2022 and 2023. We have retained two of her daughters: Rockville Ridge BellaRose (2022), and Rockville Ridge Isabella (2023).

Zebulen’s dam Sugar Moon Z Zip Me Up and holds the record highest total milk production for the breed! The Amethyst Acres / Sugar Moon side of this pedigree puts milk in the pail and contributes beautiful udders.

Zee is a shy but beautiful chocolate buckskin and a high producing doe. Zee has the addition of the Sugar Moon genetics from her sire, where the breed production record is held. Zee reached the 92 percentile in production for the breed as a first freshener and easily earned her milk star in all 3 categories. She easily kidded triplets in 2022, twins in 2023, and we have retained her does Rockville Ridge SchotZee, SpiceZee, and GraceZee.

First Fresheners

Queenie is an easy going doe and most people’s favorite to hang with. She is sweet and patient and we have been super happy with her production and build as she’s maturing. She wasn’t at her best on LA day this year and I hope to be able to bring her to appraisals again in 2024. Queenie is a dream to hand milk with huge orifices and that easy going demeanor. She also exhibits a lot of depth already for a FF. She scored a 37 for Rear Udder Height at appraisal – my photos don’t do her udder height justice. Looking forward to seeing if her teat placement improves with her 2nd freshening.

Rose is a promising first freshener out of Better Wayz Bella. She earned her milk star in all 3 categories as a FF and also inherited Bella’s personality. She’s maturing beautifully and is a super solid doe with a nice rump.

SchotZee is a litter mate to SpiceZee. She was born on Valentine’s Day and her name is a nod to the German “Schätze” which means sweetheart or darling. She has the tiniest voice and is very short in stature, but proportionate in her build. She hit the 90th percentile for production as a first freshener and has the highest rear udder in the herd (38) and a 37 for Fore Udder attachment, both of which make me excited to see her continue to develop and to see her udder as a second freshener in 2024. SchotZee earned her milk star in all 3 categories easily as a FF.
